I loved the frozen lake and the view of all the birds and especially swans(!) which were all gathered in a corner where the water was not frozen

Large open spaces to walk. Dogs, joggers, etc welcome. October 4, not packed with tourists! Takes couple hours to walk through the main exhibit, stables, hunting lodge. 9euro for combined ticket.

A magnificent Baroque Palace in Munich—a definite must-see. This has well-maintained gardens and breathtaking frescoes at its three-story stone hall. One easy way to get here is by taking tram 17.
